GTAV Stimulus Package Announced

Given some of the recent technical issues during these first days of GTA Online, and now that things are starting to look much smoother (touch wood!), Rockstar is planning to provide a special stimulus package for all who have played or will play Grand Theft Auto Online this month. Rockstar will be dropping a cool half a million GTA$ in the GTA Online bank accounts of all players this month, starting as early as next week. In order to keep the current worldwide in-game economy balanced, Rockstar will be providing this GTA$ to players via two deposits of $250,000. Grand Theft Auto V Breaks $800 Million On Day One

The three main characters in Rockstar’s new Grand Theft Auto V game do everything they can to break open the banks around Los Santos. But even they could probably not even imagine an $800 million dollar score. That’s how much GTAV made in sales in the first 24-hours it was available. That is a record not only for Rockstar and the GTA series, but also for parent company Take-Two Interactive. In fact, once the numbers are confirmed, it will likely be a game industry record. Consider that last November, the "biggest game launch ever" was Call of Duty: Black Ops … Continue reading Grand Theft Auto V Breaks $800 Million On Day One

Manhunt is a guilty, guilty pleasure

Rockstar has gone too far! I know I’ve said this many times. After all we are dealing with a developer known for creating games based on carjacking (Grand Theft Auto), illegal street racing (Midnight Club), inciting riots (State of Emergency), and of course gruesome mature noir stories (Max Payne), we should know what to expect. However, never did I think that even Rockstar would be responsible for a game like this. With Manhunt, they have pushed their reputation as being the bad boys of gaming to a whole new low. And yes, I love it! Anyone who has seen the … Continue reading Manhunt is a guilty, guilty pleasure

Kickin’ with GTA3 PC

When Grand Theft Auto 3 was being shown at E3 running on a PC, my interest was peaked a bit. I had played the game on the PlayStation 2 and had a pretty good time. But my lack of console savvy really kept the game from becoming a top favorite for me. So when the game arrived for the PC, I figured I would give it another go. Basically, GTA3 on the PC is essentially the same game as on the PS2, with a few notable exceptions. If you are a PS2 whiz and went all the way through the … Continue reading Kickin’ with GTA3 PC
