While Voxel art styles are a dime a dozen, The Kindred manages to set itself apart with its sim-survival elements, beautiful world and a high ceiling for growth. It may still be in Steam Early Access, but The Kindred shows exceptional progress and offers a high level of fun even now.
Book Review- Pathfinder Tales: Liar's Bargain: A Novel
This week we tackle the latest entry in our favorite thief and talking sword buddies adventure series. It’s Liar’s Bargain, Book Three of the Rodrick series. Tim Pratt has crafted another great read with an interesting world populated by wonderful characters, and we aren’t lying!
Star Trek Online already has an incredible universe, game and story. But it just got better, especially for longtime fans with the Agents of Yesterday expansion that takes players through time to the original series. Boldly go into the classic past this week as we check it out.
A walking simulator in the vein of P.T. and The Stanley Parable, Asemblance is a trip that is deep in thought and feeling, but short in actual doing. Give this creepy thriller a try if you dare, but know going in that only the developers have been able to find the most complete ending to the story.
As the penultimate book in the series, Dragonvein Book 3 has a lot riding on it, but thankfully it lives up to those expectations. Lots of plot threads were resolved, and many more are revealed leading into the series conclusion.
Game Review- Wasted: A Post-Apocalyptic Pub Crawler
This week we get wasted for a game review, well, at least we get into Wasted: A Post-Apocalyptic Pub Crawler. Wasted has a Borderlands type of look and feel, minus the plot and cool characters. But, for a summer fling type of game, its surprisingly fun.
This week our Time Waster is using a time waster to give him a break from another time waster. That may sound tough to understand, but so is That Level Again 3.
While the PC may be filled with excellent turn-based strategy games, they are far fewer for consoles. Battle Worlds: Kronos attempts to fill that void with a game that is completely unforgiving, yet rewarding for commanders who put in the effort.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it’s a game that feels like Mirror’s Edge and Dying Light without all the bits that make those games exciting. Welkin Road is an early access title that feels too much like a tech demo despite all the high-flying.
