The Weakest Link
Chain of Memories is the bridge title connecting Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II. But as a chain, it has quite a few weak links, and just doesn’t measure up.
A Swimmingly Good Ocean
Star Ocean: The Last Hope might have been Square’s last chance to impress our 360 reviewer. Thankfully, they met that challenge and exceeded it. This is a great Star Ocean.
Star Ocean Washes Over PSP
Star Ocean: Second Evolution hits the ground running as a top title for the PSP platform. It takes us back to the original series, but adds a lot of new elements, like real-time combat.
Last Remnant Will Snap Last Nerve
If Square doesn’t stop sending halfway finished and highly rushed RPGs to the market, they risk their reputation as solid game developers. The Last Remnant doesn’t help their cause.
Not Quite An Infinite Adventure
Unfortunately, Infinite Undiscovery is more of a realistic name for this game than the developers probably wanted. You will spend a lot of time not finding much of anything.
Tactically Stunning
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift takes the familiar Final Fantasy world and adds in a tactical element, for a unique and fun experience on the DS.
Dungeons Will Leave You in the Dark
Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon may have the venerable Final Fantasy name behind it, but don’t be fooled, this one does not live up to its forbearers.
Still Rolling Strong
Hands down we rate Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII as one of the best RPGs for the PSP platform. It’s yet another feather in the cap of this awesome series.
A World Changing RPG
The World Ends With You is one of the best RPGs out for the Nintendo DS. It combines a cool style with addictive gameplay.
Grinding Galore
Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors is not really that great of an RPG, though it does feature some, shall we say, interesting characters.
