Havok Sends Engine To Project Anarchy

Havok, best known for providing core technology to leading AAA games, today announced that Tizen has been added to the list of free-to-ship platforms for Project Anarchy, Havok’s free C++ mobile game engine. Havok is optimizing the full range of Project Anarchy technology for Tizen including Havok Vision Engine, Havok Physics, Havok Animation Studio and Havok AI.

The Tizen platform is an open-source, standards-based operating system supported by leading mobile operators and hardware manufacturers for devices, including smartphones, tablets, netbooks, and connected devices including smart TVs.

"Tizen is an exciting and versatile new platform for mobile and connected devices," said David Coghlan, Managing Director at Havok. "We’re thrilled to be on the ground floor with a highly robust game engine that will enable mobile developers to push the technology boundaries of Tizen to deliver highly compelling game play."

"The Tizen ecosystem welcomes Havok’s Project Anarchy support for Tizen," says Christopher Croteau, Tizen Association Board member and Managing Director of Intel’s System Software Division. "Project Anarchy will provide an end-to-end mobile 3D game production engine for game developers targeting Tizen mobile devices."

Havok will be giving live demonstrations of its tech at the Tizen Developer Conference in San Francisco, May 22 – 24, 2013. The Tizen-optimized build of Project Anarchy will be available for developers targeting the Tizen operating system starting Q3 of 2013.
