Ubisoft announces that Extended Ops, the third major free update for Ghost Recon Wildlands Ghost War PvP, will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on January 25. Keeping in line with the Ghost Recon Wildlands development team’s goal of expanding the scope of Ghost War, this update adds a brand new game mode: Extraction, as well as exclusive new maps.
In the new Extraction mode, one team is tasked with locating and escorting one of two High-Value Targets (HVT) out of a conflict zone, while the other team works to stop them by defending the hostages’ location. Planning strategy and making the right decisions will be more important than ever, as the extracted HVT needs to stay alive to win the round.
Extraction comes with two exclusive maps, “Institute” and “Garage”, and will incite players to adapt their playstyles and come up with new tactics. Both new maps are available for both Quickplay and Ranked.
Extended Ops also includes new gear for both the base game and the PvP modes. For all the additions and improvements, visit http://ghostrecon.com/extendedops.
Originally launched in October 2017, Ghost War continues to build a community of tactical PvP players with regular free updates that introduce new content. Following Extended Ops, Ghost Recon Wildlands will continue to receive regular updates bringing new content to both multiplayer and solo modes in the coming months.
