This week for Retro Game Friday I’m covering a really obscure game. It’s Army Men Air Attack!

Plot Synopsis: The evil Tan army is making a move into Green territory. Only one man has the ability to stop their advance: Captain William Blade. Take command of Blade and his ragtag crew of chopper pilots as they fly…

Plot: The plot was pretty bare from what I remember, and given that miserable synopsis I don’t think any better of it now any more than I did back then.

Gameplay: You controlled one of four helicopter types in the game while defending various objects including teddy bears, and other plastic toy soldiers from the Tan Army. It was a pretty fun game for it’s time, although it’d be pretty bare bones by today’s standards.

Art: This is a N64 game, so it definitely has aged poorly. It was pretty great back in the day though.

Music: I don’t remember a thing, sorry.

Overall: This is a game that would be worth giving a shot for a few minutes, it might provide a couple hours of fun. If you can find it for a reasonable price.

For those who like: Military Games, Toy Soldiers, Helicopters.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
