Welcome back to another review for GiN, with your host the Modern Gamer. It’s Saturday and you know what that means for me and my spouse? Movies, movies, movies! Ah what would be better than watching one? Playing one of course! Gotta satisfy that gamer itch. Which is exactly what you’ll get in She Sees Red. Let me go ahead and say this is NOT for kids at all! In fact this isn’t for the faint of heart either. It’s a gory thriller with violence, nudity and sex that’s based in the nightclub and drug world. I will say it again, not for kids, 18 plus only. With that out of the way, I can focus on the good stuff.
She Sees Red reminds me of so many different things that I like in a thriller movies and tv shows. It’s like playing Snatch (movie), Bones (tv series), and American (tv series) all rolled into one. All of these I highly recommend watching btw.
Ok let me tell you about She Sees Red. It’s in Russian, which means even though you get great voice actors, it might be better to watch subtitles if you like to hear the actors themselves. Personally I like reading subtitles and hearing the original actors voice. However the acting is great on both sides, so it’s up to you how you choose to play.
The graphics, ya’ll this is some really awesome stuff! They filmed all of this! The lighting and colors are beautiful. The camera angles are fantastic, and really set the mood. When you to make a decision (it’s timed of course) the flow is flawless. This game is incredibly well put together.
The plot line? You play a bad guy, and have to outsmart everyone else in the game and stay alive. It’s pretty fun, like I mentioned earlier, choices are timed. It’s very similar to Until Dawn (without the whiny teenagers), however it’s from one person’s point of view. You do have multiple ending, so you have to play through a couple of times to unlock all the story plot and get the real ending. That’s about all I can say without spoiling it for anyone.
Game play is a lot like Until Dawn, you make a timed decision and it leads you to the next scene. You watch the rest of the story unfold. Just make sure you’re on your guard. You don’t have time to relax, so “play” close attention. Get it? Alright enough with the puns.
This game is great on as a date night movie or you if have a party and everyone likes games this would be a great game to play. Seriously it doesn’t matter if you play alone, with friends, with your girl/boyfriend/spouse. If you love thrillers, I highly recommend She Sees Red.
Curious about what the Mordern Gamer does in her spare time? She’s a full time indie artist and digital painter. Check out her artwork at http://www.woodlingsart.com and see if you might enjoy some of her work.
That’s all for now! Thanks for reading!
