The Spanish indie studio Anima Project has announced that their classic RPGs, Anima: Gate of Memories One and Two, will be fully remastered and made available for the new Nintendo Switch 2 console. They will also be remade for the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles and for the PC through Steam.

The Anima: Gate of Memories I and II Remaster will launch in this fall for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Steam, while the Nintendo Switch 2 version is planned for 2026. The remastered project will bring both titles together for the first time into a single game.

Anima is a third-person Action RPG that weaves together two fates, one of a legendary monster and a mysterious girl with no memory of her past, the other of an immortal soul cursed to wander the world forever. Their existence will take an unexpected turn when they discover that all of them have been involved in something sinister, a war in the shadows in which they will have each have a role on opposing sides of the table.

The remaster will allow players to experience the original Anima: Gate of Memories and its companion story Anima: The Nameless Chronicles for the first time with improved visuals and enhanced, modern gameplay.
