This week for Sensate Saturday I’m covering a series that wasn’t super amazing! It’s Magico by Naoki Iwamoto!

Plot Synopsis: Emma, a country girl, first came to the city to start a new life after having been isolated since early childhood. But for some reason, when she entered the city all the young men and even the king tried to forcibly marry her.

Plot: She doesn’t get forced into a marriage, but the reason why I’ll leave for you to find out. It’s one of the few interesting plot points in the series that I don’t want to spoil. This being a Shonen Jump series this wasn’t the best romance series I’ve ever read, not even close. It’s still a better love story than Twilight though!

Characters: Shion and Emma are great leads, but it makes one wish that this series wasn’t published in Shonen Jump and was published in a more serious magazine with an older audience. The rest of the cast is also good.

Art: That all being said the artwork is great, as is expected from a Shonen Jump series. I loved it.

Overall: This is skippable, but if you are really bored it’s better than most trashy romance series.

For those who like: Action, Romance, Excellent Art, Fantastic Cast of Characters.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above, or less serious romance series.
