Another major university is embracing eSports on their campus, with Niagara University cutting the ribbon on The Nest, a state-of-the-art sports lounge and new gaming area for the university’s growing Esports club.
Following the spectacular success of its Esports Lounge at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, Greenlit Content plans to partner with Wizard World to bring the Esports Lounge experience to pop culture events and conventions across the US in 2020.
Under a newly announced partnership, MSI will outfit the University of Missouri Esports team with state-of-the-art gaming systems and provide resources and expertise to bolster their program. The campus will enjoy a high-tech gaming space with high-end broadcasting capabilities and a spectating area.
Backed by more than 50 experienced, independent esports reporters, the Esportz Network is building a new state of the art broadcast center in Orange County, California, with completion targeting the end of the first quarter of 2020.
Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. and the Konami Group today announced at Tokyo Game Show 2019 that the company will establish an esports complex within the Konami Creative Center Ginza (KCC GINZA), which is under construction at its new business base in Japan. It is scheduled to open next year.
This year’s QuakeCon will continue it’s legacy of giving as the American Red Cross, Dallas Pets Alive!, 1UpOnCancer, Anime for Humanity, Stack Up, and Gamers Outreach will have a presence at the show, providing attendees with several opportunities to donate, support, and give to help others.
