Vindigo Enters Mobile Games Market

Vindigo, a leading mobile media company, today announced its entry into the rapidly growing mobile games market. Vindigo will release a broad selection of adventure and casual games in 2005, beginning with a fantasy graphic adventure game based on the bestselling Shadowgate franchise. The award-winning Shadowgate from Infinite Ventures has sold more than one and a half million copies worldwide on multiple platforms, making it a winning lead game title for Vindigo.

With more than five million downloads of local information, personalization, and entertainment products and a distribution network including all top-tier wireless carriers, Vindigo leads the market for mobile media in the U.S. The company is extending this leadership by targeting other mobile content categories with tremendous growth potential, including games.

"Vindigo’s entertainment products are already bestsellers on U.S. wireless carriers," said Jason Devitt, president and chief executive officer of Vindigo. "We’re now taking our insight into the mobile consumer and our expertise in designing easy-to-use, compelling content for mobile phones and applying it to games – one of the most exciting categories in mobile media."

Vindigo’s entry into the games market has been led by noted industry insider and Vindigo advisor Eric Goldberg. The company has hired mobile games
pioneer Leonard Quam as Director of Games and game industry veteran John Astell to lead its game design team. The company has assembled an A-list of third party developers and licensees.
