NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. today announced that ACTIVE LIFE: Extreme Challenge has shipped to retail stores throughout North America for Wii. Fun for families and gamers alike, ACTIVE LIFE: Extreme Challenge combines the motion-sensing Wii Remote with an original mat controller that lets players use their whole body to participate in 15 fun extreme sports activities.
Following up on its wildly successful predecessor, ACTIVE LIFE: Extreme Challenge reintroduces the Active Life mat, a durable eight button peripheral that lets players control the on-screen action with their hands and feet when used in conjunction with a Wii Remote. Created with families in mind, ACTIVE LIFE: Extreme Challenge encourages vigorous activities such as running and jumping, allowing for an energizing game experience. Additionally, ACTIVE LIFE: Extreme Challenge lets players put relatives and friends into the game by easily importing Mii characters saved on their Wii system.
Showcasing more than a dozen unique activities, from wakeboarding to rock climbing and base jumping, ACTIVE LIFE: Extreme Challenge promises to keep players' pulses pounding and hearts pumping with each new event. Now with even more intense pick-up and play activities, gaming exercise aficionados can enjoy a full-body workout that truly immerses them in extreme sporting events without the broken bones.
"The ACTIVE LIFE series has proven to be overwhelmingly successful by providing compelling and unique extreme full-body motion gameplay for the whole family to enjoy," said Todd Thorson, director of marketing and public relations at NAMCO BANDAI Games America, Inc. "There isn't another game around that will allow you to rock climb with mom, street luge with dad, and base jump with grandma."
ACTIVE LIFE: Extreme Challenge for Wii is available as a bundle containing the game and one Active Life mat controller for a suggested retail price of $59.99, and is rated "E" for Everyone by the ESRB. For more information, please visit www.playactivelife.com.
