D’Avekki Studios Announces Paperback and Ebook Versions of Dark Nights With Poe and Munro – The Original Scripts

Indie videogame developer D’Avekki Studios is proud to announce the publication this week of the full, unedited scripts for their interactive FMV-TV game, Dark Nights with Poe and Munro, in paperback and ebook format on Amazon.

First released in 2020, Dark Nights with Poe and Munro is a videogame anthology of six supernatural tales about late night radio hosts John ‘Poe’ Pope and Ellis Munro. Players control the action using “hotspot” decision points and the episodes can be replayed in any order to uncover different story paths and multiple endings.

The 370-page book, entitled Dark Nights with Poe and Munro – The Original Scripts, is aimed at fans of the game, as well as those curious about what goes into making a branching interactive film. Containing the full, unedited original scripts for all six episodes of the critically acclaimed game, the book also includes deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes insights from director Tim Cowles.

D’Avekki Studios producer, Lynda Cowles, said: “We’re so excited to be able to share these scripts with fans, especially all the scenes we wrote that for one reason or another didn’t make it into the finished game. Episode 4 in particular ended up being massively changed from the original story, so this is the only place players can meet Poe and Munro’s alter egos from the 1940s and 18th Century!”

And Tim Cowles added, “These are the production scripts we sent to the actors, that still include many of the video numbers, branch redirects and variables used in the final game code. It’s one massive spoiler but should be fun for fans and helpful to anyone else looking to write interactive films.”

Dark Nights with Poe and Munro – The Original Scripts is available now via Amazon as an eBook and paperback.
