Hey all. I’m back this time with a question for you all for this week’s Video Game Tuesday column.  The question is: Is the E3 Expo trade show still relevant?

Why ask this now? Well, with E3 being completely cancelled this year once again, a lot of people are questioning the utility of E3 these days given that publishers and console makers routinely do their own things like State of Plays or Nintendo Directs.

Personally, I’m torn. I’ve always loved looking forward to E3 when I was younger, and the spectacle of it was always enjoyable. But I can’t deny that more and more companies are moving away from using E3 to showcase their upcoming games these past few years.
