This week I’m back with another series I recently read and enjoyed immensely. It’s Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyusoukyoku Volume 01, or Death Marching to the Parallel World Rhapsody in English, by Ainana Hiro!

Plot Synopsis: Suzuki Satou, an adult programmer, suddenly notices that he’s thrown into another world wearing his casual clothes at level 1. He gained an insanely high level and many treasures after using the 3-times-disposable-magic, Meteor Shower, one time. After that he intend to go around on another world “sightseeing tour”!

Plot: The plot is pretty great, and isn’t intensely serious like Arifureta or Tate no Yuusha, but it’s still great. I really enjoy the fact that Satou doesn’t really want to go home, he just wants to go sightseeing, as it’s a relatively novel premise (pun intended).

Characters: Satou is a great lead, and the rest of the cast is also pretty exceptional. Well except for Satou’s naming sense which is absolutely crap. Riza is probably my favorite of the female cast in volume 01.

Art: I read the Web Novel so I only took a peak at the Light Novels artwork, but it seems pretty good.

Overall: This is well worth your time to read, it’s pretty funny and it has enough seriousness to be enjoyable.

For those who like: Action, Fantasy, Parallel Worlds, Magic, Great Cast of Characters, Excellent Plot.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
