Hi all I’m back with a series I just stumbled across and found pretty freaking amazing. It’s Maou no Hajimekata by Warau Yakan!

Plot Synopsis: “I do not trust humans. They’ll betray you without fail.” Aur, the man who had obtained the ability and right to become the Maou at the end of his life of research.

Plot: This not a child friendly series, there is ridiculous amounts of violence, sex, and vulgarities. That being said in the few chapters I’ve read, it’s pretty freaking good.

Characters: Ain Sof Aur (a word from the Judaic branch of mysticism of Kabbalah and a favorite name of mine for fantasy) is a pretty ruthless bastard, and it’s a freaking blast to see what he does when he gets the power to do what he wants to do. Lilu is pretty good as well. The rest of the cast so far is good, but I’m not spoiling anything.

Art: Borderline explicit, so fair warning there, this is a pretty bloody series, but it’s not as detailed as it could be. If it was any more detailed however it’d probably be banned, which would be a shame.

Overall: Read it if you can deal with the above warnings, it is quite good.

For those who like: Action, Anti-Heroes, Magic, Dark Fantasy, Lots of Violence.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above, or can’t deal with the warnings.
