Hey all, I’m back with the first volume in a very notable series for this week’s Bookish Wednesday! It’s Mother of Learning Volume 01 by Domagoj Kurmaic!

Plot: The plot of Mother of Learning, at least in this first volume, is incredibly interesting. It deals with a boy named Zorian who goes to a semi-distant school for magic and is not doing terribly well. Then things go to hell and Zorian finds himself waking up on the day before he leaves to go to school for the new term once again. I won’t go much more into this because I’ve only heard good things about Mother of Learning, even if listening to it as an audiobook was how I first experienced it.

Characters: Zorian is a very good main character. He starts off as a bit of an ass, but over the course of the novel he begins to grow up. The rest of the cast is just as interesting, but I won’t spoil who my favorite character or characters were.

Overall: Frankly, this is one of those must read/listen to stories that everyone should enjoy, so do yourself a favor and get yourself a copy of this.

For those who like: Fantasy, Time Screwery, Fantastic Plot and an Awesome Cast of Characters.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above, but you really ought to give this a shot.
