Hey all I’m back with the fifth entry in Dale’s story for this week’s Bookish Wednesday. It’s Ascension, Book 05 in the World Keeper series, by Justin Miller!

Plot: The plot of this entry picks up immediately after the end of the last one with Dale having just finished his first defense against an invading Keeper’s forces. I really enjoyed this entry as it focuses more on Dale learning more about Keeper’s and what their roles are to worlds that know about them.  That being said there isn’t much major action that occurs in this entry, unlike the last one which did cover the first real foray into the Keeper games for Dale.

Characters: We get introduced to a few new people, with most of them being rather transient characters, though a few will stick around. I won’t spoil who it is by naming them specifically, but my favorite of them is probably the Shadow Saint.  Still Tsubaki is also around and frankly she’s been my favorite character since she was introduced.

Overall: A very solid entry into the series, though a bit less action this time around.
