Hey all I’m back with the third book side novel to a hit TV series I’ve covered for the good people at Tor. It’s The Librarians and the Pot of Gold by Greg Cox!

Plot: This entry tackles some myths and locales near and dear to my heart, and if you guessed Chicago and St. Patrick’s Day based off the title alone, you’d be correct. This is much like the other books written by Mr. Cox in that it plays out much like an episode of the show with each of the main cast getting their time to shine.

Sadly, with the TV show being cancelled earlier this year, I see this possibly being the last time fans of the series get to enjoy the characters they’ve grown to care about. That being said it’s not a for sure thing, and even the TV show might continue on with a different network or production company.

Characters: I’ve always enjoyed Christian Kane as an actor and his character Jacob Stone was easily my favorite of the show’s characters of the admittedly few episodes I watched when I was able to scrounge together some time to spend on fulfilling the curiosity that these books brought about. This didn’t change with this book, although like I said above, each character gets a time to shine.

Overall: Quite a fun read, and I hope it’s not the final entry in a series I’ve found to be quite entertaining.
