Unreliable Narrators in Games with Special Guest Jordan Erica Webber

Journalist and philosopher, Jordan Erica Webber,  joins Drew and Chella, at Argue The Toss, to discuss unreliable narrators in games.  At first glance, the narrators in games seem pretty straight forward, but you only have to consider Bioshock, Her Story, new Nordic noir, Draugen, and King’s Quest to find that videogames often use the unreliable narrator as a nifty device.

Find out which games do it best and what the challenges are, when it comes to player agency. Plus added philosophy on the nature of reality  and scepticism in games. Jordan says ‘Descartes’ and we say ‘mmhmm’ to add to the philosophical discussion.
