NCSoft Announces Promotions

NCsoft Corporation, the world's leading developer and publisher of online computer games announces two promotions within its North American business team.

Jeremy Gaffney has been named vice president of product development and Dorothy Ferguson has moved into the role of vice president of sales for NCsoft North America.

Gaffney was heading up the company's third party group and was instrumental in adding third party development houses, Cryptic Studios and NetDevil, to the NCsoft publishing family. In his new role, Gaffney will oversee all product development teams in North America creating games under the NCsoft brand. Gaffney is a 15-year veteran of the games industry. He was a founder, chairman and CTO of Turbine Entertainment Software and later worked as technology lead at Origin Systems.
Ferguson moves up from her position as director of sales for NCsoft North America. As vice-president of sales she will be responsible for the complete retail/distribution channel organization and management for NCsoft's growing product lineup in North America. She’ll also oversee third party OEM and strategic partnership opportunities with leading players in the hardware and accessories space as well as broadband and entertainment. Ferguson has worked in the games industry for 16 years with previous positions held at Interplay Entertainment, Maxis, Davidson & Associates and The Learning Company.

"Both of these individuals are the best in the industry at what they do," said Robert Garriott, president of NCsoft North America. "NCsoft has established itself as a leader of online entertainment with our recent releases of City of Heroes and Lineage II and both Dorothy and Jeremy are a big reason for that success. With these promotions the company is well poised for future growth in the online games market."
