IGames Partners With UbiSoft

Today iGames, North America’s leading game center organization, announced a Game Center License (GCL) agreement with Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest videogame publishers. Under the terms of the agreement, Ubisoft will license its games to iGames as part of its GCL program in North America.

As part of the GCL program, iGames will negotiate licensing agreements exclusively for its rapidly expanding network of more than 600 game centers and provide guidelines to them throughout the execution process. Under this agreement, game centers will purchase legal game copies directly through iGames, allowing Ubisoft to ensure that their games are used responsibly. The agreement will also provide Ubisoft the means to evaluate the success of their products in game centers as well as offer additional marketing support and incentive programs.

Game centers will benefit from this program both in terms of operational costs and software management, since the license program will allow them to purchase both the license and the game from one source while guaranteeing that their business is operated according to the law.

"Ubisoft is excited to be partnering with iGames to bring the best games in the industry to Game Centers throughout North America," said Monika Madrid, Senior Manager of Strategic Sales and Partnerships at Ubisoft.

"This new service is a tremendous asset for our members, who always ask for license programs for popular games such as Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell series," explains Mark Nielsen, Executive Director of iGames. "Game centers are also a great way for publishers to promote their games and run special events to showcase new games. We are delighted to offer a solution that benefits everyone."
