Hey all I’m back with another Isekai series for this week’s Translation Necessary Thursday. It’s Invincible Saint Volume 01 by Broccoli Lion!

Plot: The plot of this first volume is okay, but it is pretty lacking compared to other Isekai series like Arifureta or TenSura. That could be because of mistranslation, but I read this series quite a bit and honestly Luciel is kind of a boring character in general.

Characters: Like I said above Luciel, our main character, is boring. He just kind of accepts everything with a sort of lackadaisical manner that can be very frustrating for us readers. Still the rest of the cast is better, which I’ll admit is the reason why I kept reading this series. Whether I should have is a question I still don’t have an answer to.

Overall: A fairly atypical Isekai series in that it’s utterly lacking in any sort of overarching plot or dire need that must be seen to by our protagonist. The fact that said protagonist is fairly boring doesn’t help, but the supporting cast do make up for it a bit.

For those who like: Isekai, Good Supporting Cast.

Not for those who don’t like: Either of the above, or boring main characters.
