Hey all I’m back with the first entry in a rather interesting series for this week’s Translation Necessary Thursday. It’s Fushi no Kami Volume 01 by Amakawa Mizuumi!

Plot: The plot is pretty great and honestly I really enjoyed this first volume quite a bit. It deals with a young boy named Ash who having memories of his past life decides he won’t accept the current standard of living his village has. So he decides to improve his knowledge and introduce new ideas from his past.

Characters: The entire cast is great, though I particularly enjoy Maika, Ash’s best friend and the village chief’s daughter.

Overall: A very fun fantasy series, that deals with civilisation uplifting in a rather novel way that few novels ever go for.

For those who like: Fantasy, Drama, Romance, Slice of Life.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
