This week for Sensate Saturday I’ve got another Quick Review. It’s Uramikoi Koi Uramikoi by Aki Taka!

Plot Synopsis: The Twelve City, a land governed by the leaders of the families who bear in their names the Chinese zodiac. In a city where youkai and humans coexist, the cat youkai who holds a grudge against the Rat Family appears in front of Nekuni Kyouichi, the head of the Rat Family. It’s a malice-covered Hateful cat who is aiming for his life.

Plot: The plot is pretty tame, and it’s definitely got a romantic slant, which is kind of nice without so much the Romantic Comedy. So far I’m pretty interested in the series and I’ll get around to reading the whole thing soon.

Characters: Kyouichi and Natsuho are our two leads, and it’s fairly obvious that they’re attracted to each other, even if they don’t realize it. The rest of the small cast we get to meet in this first chapter is pretty great, with Ayaka and Sana being the two standouts side characters.

Art: If I didn’t know for a fact that this wasn’t running in Jump, I would’ve thought it was from the quality of the artwork which is superb. It’s got amazing linework and detailing and is all around one of the better looking Shonen Romance series I’ve read.

Overall: Giving the tentative go ahead, I’m hooked and hopefully it doesn’t lead me astray.
