This week for Sensate Saturday I’ve got another Quick Review. It’s Otometic Syndrome by Harukawa Haru!

Plot Synopsis: Tachibana Otome, a 16-years-old otaku girl whose ideal type of guy was “Blonde Hair and Blue Eyes” suddenly meets that sort of person in real life transferred to her class…

Plot: The plot is pretty stereotypical, but it’s not terribly done. That being said it’s not super amazing either. It’s fairly mediocre and I expect later chapters to hit many different types of tropes.I’ll enjoy reading the rest of the series in the future, but it’s definitely not going to be at the top of my list of things to read. There are better series out there I haven’t had the chance to read yet.

Characters: Otome is a pretty straightforward girl, and I enjoy that characteristic in a female lead. She knows what she wants, even if it’s not realistic, she still acknowledges that is her preference. Her best friend Rika on the other hand is more grounded in reality, which is also a characteristic I enjoy.

Art: The art is pretty great, especially considering that this runs in a long strip rather than in a normal page format.

Overall: A decent read, but not outstanding enough for me to put it near the top of my reading list. I will probably get to reading it eventually. This gets my go ahead for those who don’t mind stereotypical stories.

For those who like: Romance, Drama, Slice of Life, School Life, Stereotypes, Good Artwork.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
