Hey all, I’m back with another question for readers in this week’s Video Game Tuesday. It’s all about Game Subscriptions!

Subscriptions?: By subscriptions, I mean a fee that you pay to continue playing a game, like the ones needed by MMOs such as World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy XIV.

What about them?: In this time of limited finances for many people, some might cut back on such things as game subscriptions to save some money. Or maybe they might just be an older leftover system of paying for a game.

So, my question is – Which is it?: Are game subscriptions just relics from an old type of system of paying for games and should be left behind, or should they be thought of as just a necessary expense if you want to enjoy these types of games? I recently reviewed the MMO Dual Universe, and it required a subscription. I found myself wondering if I’d ever pay for such a thing beyond the free one I got with my review code of the game. My answer was no for Dual Universe. But for a game like Final Fantasy XIV, which I played for many years before stopping a couple years back, that’s something that I’d definitely pay for if I got back into the game.

That’s it for this week’s Video Game Tuesday, please leave answers in the comments down below!
