Hey all, I’m back with the second entry in Mira’s adventures for this week’s Translation Necessary Thursday. It’s “She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man Volume Two” by Ryuusen Hirotsugu.
Plot: As a reminder from the first book, this is an Isekai series of a sorts. It deals with a man in his twenties named Kagami, a top ranked player of the VRMMO Ark Earth Online who was unexpectedly transported to its world. He formerly played as Danblf Gandadore who was one of the preeminent magic using characters in the game.
Unfortunately for him, Kagami had used a cash shop item to create his ideal female character like he had made an ideal male character with Danblf right before he was transported to the new world. So now he is a she (Mira), and it’s been 30 years from the date that she remembers logging on.
Volume Two picks up with Mira setting off on the overarching task she’s been saddled with by her friend and ruler of the Alkait Solomon, of finding the other Wise Men and bringing them back home.
First off is the nearby dungeon of Nebropolis, a place teeming with the undead and the likely location of one of her friends, Soul Howl, the Wise Man of Necromancy. It’s a very fun volume, and we get to see Mira continue to show off her specializations of Summoning and Sage Arts. It’s definitely not a boring entry.

Characters: We get to meet a ton of new characters in this volume, many of which will be continuing to be important to the overall story.
But my favorite newcomers are the members of Ecarlate Carillon, a guild of adventurers that Mira meets in the town near Nebropolis.
Overall: A solid second entry in an awesome series.
