Hey all, I’m back with another entry to one of my favorite Light Novel series for this week’s Translation Necessary Thursday. It’s “Legend Volume 05” by Kannazuki Kou.

Plot: This plot picks up after the last entry, but in general it starts a bit more slowly than the fast-paced nature of the past two volumes. It begins with Rei and Set working with another solo adventurer who is hunting a seasonal monster named the Gamelion. However, things pick up in the later half of the volume with Rei and Set being dispatched to deal with an outbreak of a disease.

Characters: We get to meet a few new characters this time around, but Hasta and Marina are easily my favorites. They aren’t on the same level as Elena and Ara, but they are the noteworthy characters of this volume in my opinion.

Overall: A solid volume, though it starts a bit slower than the more hectic pace the previous two volumes had.
