Hey all, I’m back for this week’s Synth Saturday with the sixth set of chapters that centers on someone who is reincarnated as Brock from the Pokemon anime and games, who is left in charge of 9 younger siblings in addition to running the Pewter City Gym. It’s Chapters 30-35 of “Hard Enough-Pokemon SI” by Viva01.

Plot: This set of chapters deals with Brock beginning the off season of the League circuit and details a bunch of world building that really helps cement the world of Pokemon as being more than just catching wildlife to live endlessly in a computer like we see in the games. The set starts off with Brock wrestling his ‘Mon, literally, for treats if they can beat him.

Characters: We get introduced to a couple new characters in this set of chapters, and some very familiar faces show up as well, one being particularly noteworthy. I won’t say who because that’d spoil the surprise, but they are hilarious when off duty in this story.

Overall: A great set of chapters that builds up the background of the world of Pokemon in ways that I wish Nintendo would take a note from.
