Hey all, I’m back with a new series that is sort of a LitRPG. It’s “Towers of Acalia Volume 1” by Atlas Kane!

Plot: The plot is pretty basic, but it mixes the LitRPG and Cultivation genres fairly well, but the elements from both genres are very much watered down. It sounds much worse than the actual result is, but this might very well not be your cup of tea. If that doesn’t put you off, then the fairly unique dungeon delving aspects might just intrigue you enough for this to pique your interest.  In the book, Rin is a regular person who dies and is reborn into the body of a cultivator in a new world.  The being who reincarnates him modifies his core using a powerful rune, and each time Rin goes to a higher level, he can acquire another of these runes that will augment his strength.  He’s given this gift, but he’s also burdened with the responsibility that if he doesn’t climb and defeat the Towers of Acalia, this new world he is in will fall.

Characters: Rin is the reincarnated cultivator protagonist in “Towers of Acalia Volume 1.” Minh is a fun character in the story who is a kind of living weapon.  Another fun character in the book is a warrior named Astra.

Overall: A decent mix of LitRPG and Cultivation genres, but not the most exemplary story either.

For those who like: LitRPGs, Cultivation, Action, Adventure, Romance, and Drama.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
