Hey all, I’m back with a series from the past season for this week’s Anime Sunday. It’s my “Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement” Episode 01 Impressions.

Plot: The plot is pretty interesting in that our main character Mitsuha is able to travel between Earth and another world at will and decides to start accumulating money in order to retire peacefully after her family tragically dies just before she graduated high school.  Usually the trip to another world in Isekai stories is one way only and not at all able to be done at will easily if it is possible at all.

Characters: We only get introduced to a couple characters in this episode, Collette and Mitsuha, and they’re fairly decent characters. Mitsuha is the real gem in this episode since she is a character who very much grasps the opportunity she’s been given in order to see her goals accomplished.

Art: The animation is pretty good from Studio Felix although it’s nowhere near ufotable quality. It’s still much better than anything by Studio Deen.

Music: Sadly, the music is rather forgettable, but it fits the story thus far. At least it isn’t grating, but it is absolutely not memorable.

Overall: A fun series that anyone who wants a fairly lighthearted fantasy series can enjoy.

For those who like: Isekai, Fantasy, Action, Adventure, Great Plot, a Solid Female Lead, and Good Artwork.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
