Sony Confirms PS4 Is Region Free

Sony’s charismatic president of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed via Twitter that the PS4 will be region free, meaning that games from any territory can be played on any machine. Yoshida made the announcement yesterday during a customarily frank Twitter exchange with Sony fans. Meanwhile, Sony has also confirmed via several executives that PSN will be a paid-for service on PS4. Adult Women Make Up A Great Majority of Gamers

Adult women represent a significantly greater portion of the video game-playing population than boys age 17 or younger, and nearly half of all video game players are women, according to new research released today by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA). The report, 2013 Essential Facts About the Computer and Video Game Industry, found that women comprise 31 percent of the video game-playing population, while boys 17 and under represent only 19 percent of game players.
