A terrible dental crisis has had our Save State columnist, Vincent Mahoney, having a hell of a week, so he decided to lean into that theme and play Hades to take his mind off things. What he finds there is a beautiful platformer that not only plays well on his PC, but also works perfectly on the Steam Deck for those who may or may not be temporarily bedridden.
Supergiant Games has done it again, giving gamers Hades, a game with an incredible art style, brilliant voice acting, stunning music and rock-solid gameplay that’s almost impossible to put down. This is even better than their previous hits like Bastion, Transistor and Pyre.
Michael’s back with a true classic game for this week’s Retro Game Friday. It’s Bastion! The title has recently been making the rounds on Android and iOS, but we are talking about its original jump into gamer’s hearts.
