Afro-Brazilian Myths And Legends Come Alive in Hand-Painted Talaka Steam Demo

Ahead of the game’s participation in The MIX: Fall Game Showcase in Seattle, publisher Acclaim and Brazilian indie studio Potato today announced that the demo for Talaka now available on Steam, giving players their first hands-on look at this fast-paced, combat-driven roguelite that brings Afro-Brazilian mythology to life in a vivid, hand-painted world.

The Talaka demo consists of the game’s first world, where players will face mythical monsters, wield a diverse arsenal of weapons, master mystical abilities, and go toe-to-toe with a fearsome boss, offering a taste of the full experience ahead of the game’s launch on consoles and Steam in early 2027.

To celebrate the demo’s launch, Acclaim and Potato Kid have released a new trailer, inviting players to jump in and explore Talaka’s vibrant, watercolor realm teeming with ancient Orisha, mighty monsters, and powerful magic.
