This week for Translation Necessary Thursday I’m back with the fourth set of chapters in Lin Feng’s journey for strength. It’s Peerless Martial God Chapters 121-160 by Jing Wu Hen!

Plot Synopsis: Lin Feng survived the destruction of his sect, the Yun Hai Sect, and is one of a handful of survivors who didn’t betray the sect before it’s destruction. Unlike the rest though Lin Feng was entrusted with task of bringing the sect back to life when he became stronger and was given the Patriarch’s ring and position before being left in a secret area known only to the protectors of the sect. Overcome with grief at the death of so many of his fellow martial brothers and sisters he eventually leaves the secret temple and in the depths of the Black Wind Mountains he encounters a beautiful young woman who had no name. He named her Meng Qing and agreed to take her out into the outside world, in exchange for stories from his previous life. He encounters a friend, Jing Yun and her young friend Duan Feng, a scion of the Imperial family of Xue Yue. He saves them from bandits and assassins and brings them to the Celestial academy in the Imperial City, and ends up joining the Celestial Academy as a special student, with no strings attached.

Plot: These chapters show the rise of Lin Feng’s fame and power in the rest of the capitol and are probably the best chapters yet, I have to admit that the previous set of chapters were pretty depressing with the death of all the people who were kind to him in the Yun Hai sect except Jing Yun.

Characters:We get introduced to lots of new characters in these chapters, but Wen Ao Xue is my favorite newcomer, he’s mysterious and isn’t an ass just because he’s incredibly powerful. Lin Feng continues to impress, and Meng Qing is a total bad ass female lead as well.

Overall: If you weren’t hooked yet, these chapters show the best strengths of the series as a whole very well.
