Leading film and entertainment trade magazine The Hollywood Reporter has named Kathy Schoback, vice president of content strategy for Infinium Labs (OTC: BB: IFLB), as one of the top-12 female gaming industry executives. Based on a survey of long-time high-profile game industry experts, the honor places Schoback in the ranks of peers from leading industry developers, publishers and manufacturers including Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Sony Online, Activision, THQ and LucasArts.

Schoback came to Infinium Labs in April from Eidos, where she served as director, product operations. Previously, she spent many years at Sega of America.
Schoback currently serves as chair emeritus on the Board of Directors of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA). Schoback also is on the steering committee for the groundbreaking Women’s Game Conference (WGC), slated to run concurrently with the Austin Game Conference Sept. 9 – 14, 2004 at the Austin convention Center, Austin, Texas. The WGC will focus on women in the computer and video game industry and will include topics such as workforce issues, how women are portrayed in games and how to target women and girls as consumers of games.
