Power Gig Track List Released

Adding to previously-announced music industry superstars Eric Clapton, Dave Matthews Band and Kid Rock, Seven45 Studios reveals the entire track list for Power Gig: Rise of the SixString today. The incredibly diverse list of 70 tracks boasts songs from across multiple rock genres including alternative, classic, indie, metal and punk, with more than 80% of the tracks making their band game debuts with this game. Each artist has provided original master recordings of their hit songs for Power Gig: Rise of the SixString, the first band videogame for which the guitar controller is a functioning six-string electric guitar. Power Gig: Rise of the SixString will be available for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360 videogame and entertainment system October 2010.

Eric Clapton, Dave Matthews Band and Kid Rock have each entered into exclusive agreements with Seven45 Studios to provide songs for Power Gig: Rise of the SixString. These deals mark the first time ever that songs from each of the three artists will appear as part of a music videogame. In addition to the previously-announced inclusion of Eric Clapton’s "Layla," Seven45 has also secured the Clapton hits "Lay Down Sally" and "Let it Rain." Dave Matthews Band is represented by "Tripping Billies," "Why I Am," and "Funny the Way It Is." Kid Rock contributes "Rock ‘N’ Roll Jesus" and "Son of Detroit" to go along with chart-topper "All Summer Long." Additional songs were secured by multi-platinum artists John Mayer, No Doubt, Smashing Pumpkins, Jane’s Addiction, Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against the Machine, and many others. In addition to the songs announced today, Seven45 Studios plans to continue building Power Gig’s track list with continued downloadable content (DLC) after the game’s release.

"We wanted our song list to be diverse and appealing to gamers and families of all ages, represented with a great mix of both musical icons and up-and-coming artists," said Seven45 Studios Chairman and CEO, Bernard Chiu. "Many of these songs have been massive hits and are familiar to fans of rock music, which reflects the pick-up-and-play nature of Power Gig: Rise of the SixString."
