Mike Quigley Is New Social Gold CMO

Social Gold, the leading virtual goods monetization platform for thousands of online games and virtual worlds, today announced that Mike Quigley, former Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS) marketing executive, has joined the Social Gold team as Chief Marketing Officer. Quigley will oversee the game developer and consumer marketing strategy and manage all marketing operations as CMO of Social Gold. Quigley brings a wealth of industry experience from his roles at EA over a 10-year period, including global product marketing leadership for key franchises such as The Sims, Need for Speed, Battlefield, Warhammer Online and Dragon Age.

Prior to EA, Quigley served as Vice President of Marketing for Go2net/Infospace (NASDAQ: INSP) where he led the user acquisition strategy for the company’s web properties, including its metasearch engines Dogpile and Metacrawler. He began his career in global brand management at The Walt Disney Company’s (NYSE: DIS) home entertainment division, working on major franchises including Aladdin, Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, and The Lion King.
