John Daly’s ProStroke Golf Ships For PS3

International video game publisher O-Games today announced its highly anticipated golf title, John Daly’s ProStroke Golf, will ship to retail stores in North America today for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system. The only golf game officially endorsed by ‘The Lion’ himself, John Daly’s ProStroke Golf will be available for the suggested retail price of $49.99.

From Oxfordshire-based developer Gusto Games, John Daly’s ProStroke Golf is the spiritual sequel to ProStroke Golf: World Tour 2007, incorporating all the features that have made the series a hit with gamers. The trademark ProStroke control system, a first-person view of the ball and club head, offers the closest representation of a natural golf swing available with no artificial barriers to impede shot performance. The title is also the first golf game built from the ground up incorporating PlayStation Move technology, giving PlayStation 3 system owners the ability to rotate the club head in real-time, punch and chip the ball according to the input movement, simulate weight transfer and much more.

With lively commentary from golf’s legendary announcers Sam Torrance and Peter Kessler, players can tee off on 12 varied and challenging courses populated with interactive spectators that bring a rich match-day atmosphere to life. In addition to tournaments and exhibitions, players can also jump into ‘Challenge Mode’ where they’ll find a series of golfing trials presented by John Daly himself. Get a taste of real life on the course as Daly takes players through the different disciplines of the game from putting and approach play to the world famous ‘Long John’ drive itself.

John Daly’s ProStroke Golf will also be available for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and ship to retail on November 9, 2010.
