Global Supply Chain Issues Delay Steam Deck Shipments Past Holidays

According to Valve, the much-anticipated Steam Deck portable gaming PC will be delayed for at least two months. The hardware’s new anticipated ship date is February 2022, so it will miss the Christmas and holiday timeframe.

Full details were given via a blog post.

The following is the note send out by Valve.

The launch of Steam Deck will be delayed by two months, and we now anticipate Steam Deck will start shipping out to customers in February 2022. All reservation holders will keep their place in line, with dates shifting back accordingly.

We are sorry we won’t be able to make the original launch date – we did our best to work around the global supply chain issues, but material shortages have disrupted our shipping plans. We will continue working to improve reservation dates based on the new timeline.
