Fromm/Seninsky Present Successful LCD Game Repair Class

The new "LCD/Video Game Repair Class" debuted to a sold out room when veteran presenters Randy Fromm and Frank Seninsky merged their talents to present a four-day amusement operator and game technician training workshop in Orlando, Florida.

"After working independently for more than 25 years, we’re finally working together!" said Fromm. "In the past, we have always worked different sides of the lecture room at the trade shows, Frank with the operators, teaching them how to make money and me with the technicians, teaching them how to save it by repairing their own bad monitors and power supplies."

The class took place January 17 to January 20, 2011 and featured seven-hour days packed full of electronic repair training, including a hands-on repair lab, component identification and testing, and soldering labs, combined with FEC operations, game layout techniques, redemption tips, and more. Attendees traveled from as far away as California and even Anchorage, Alaska, to learn from the two speakers who are arguably the most knowledgeable technical and operational instructors in the business. The class was evenly divided between game technicians and FEC owners/managers who wanted to learn how to repair games themselves as well as pick up operating tips from Seninsky.

"This was absolutely the best class I have ever attended," commented Matt Knicely of Diamond Jims Arcade, Massanhutten, VA. "Randy and Frank were awesome!" The class surveys overwhelming rated both Randy and Frank with perfect scores.

The course guided attendees through a simple, (non-mathematical) look at electronic components, electronic circuits, and schematic diagrams, which allowed them to learn the basics of how circuits and components operate. They also learned new, inexpensive technologies to track game play in real time, as well as some popular game marketing ideas.

"I was surprised and thrilled to see how many technicians were really interested in learning more about game layout for higher returns, which are the top earning games, ticket payouts, and ways to increase profits through proper design and planning," said Frank ‘the Crank’ Seninsky.

Attendee Michael Goeman of Lake States Vending, Hartford, WI summed it up well. "The seminar was outstanding. Putting the knowledge to work will save our company money, which hopefully comes back to my wallet!"

The LCD/Video Game Repair Class was presented as a one-time event. However, with numerous inquiries received from all over the country, it looks like another workshop will be scheduled for later this year. By overwhelming request, CRT monitor repair will be added to the program, taking the class from four days to five. Look for dates and locations to be announced soon.
