Hey all, I’m back with more of the adventures of Hiro and his crew for this week’s Translation Necessary Thursday. It’s “Reborn as a Space Mercenary Volume 09” by Ryuto.

Plot: The plot starts with Hiro and crew arriving in the Leafill system, the home system of the Elves, when trouble naturally finds its way to them. Honestly, this entire volume was amazing for a lot of spoilerific reasons. I don’t want to go into them, but this was probably my favorite volume of the entire series thus far.

Characters: We get to meet a few new characters, Tinnia being one of the favorite new ones in this entry for me. Her utter bafflement at some of Hiro’s actions is hilarious. The rest of the characters are just as solid as always too.

Overall: A very good entry in an already extremely good series. Oh, and an anime adaptation was announced earlier this year, so hopefully we’ll get to see this adapted sooner rather than later.
