Hey all, I’m back with a look at a light novel series I covered ages ago for this week’s Translation Necessary Thursday. It’s “Now I’m a Demon Lord Volume Two” by Ryuryu.

Plot: The full name of this series is called “Now I’m a Demon Lord! Happily Ever After With Monster Girls in My Dungeon.” I actually covered the first volume of this story ages ago under the title Heartwarming Dungeon, but I never got around to the later volumes.

This second entry continues the warm and fluffy feelings that the first volume had, although there is a bit more action. With the introduction of this world’s current human heroine invading the dungeon to kill Yuki, you can expect more action. Things change when she actually meets Yuki, however.

Characters: The list of characters gets a few new faces this time, and one of them, Nell, is now one of my more favorite characters in this entire series. Mostly in volume two we get to see Yuki and company just relaxing around the dungeon, and it lets us as readers get to know the characters a bit better.

Overall: A good second entry in this mostly lighthearted series. That isn’t to say there is no tension, but it’s mostly just a feel-good story.
