Merry Christmas everyone! I’m back today with the second volume of Light’s quest for this week’s Translation Necessary Thursday. It’s “Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon Volume Two” by Meikyou Shisui.

Plot: The plot of this entry continues where we left off last time with the young adventurer Light’s quest for revenge with him now aiming for another of his former party members who betrayed him, the elf Sasha. This time around, he crafts an obvious trap to ruin Sasha with the threat of blackmail. It works because Light is supposed to be very dead, and he obviously isn’t.

Characters: We get to read about quite a few new characters with Light moving his attention towards the elven kingdom and specifically Sasha and her fiance Mikhael. We also get to meet some more of Light’s summoned allies, and they’re rather interesting. The one named Jack is a riot.

Overall: A good second entry, and one that continues Light’s search for both vengeance and his siblings.
