Hey all, I’m back with another cult classic film for this week’s Movie Monday. It’s Kung Pow: Enter the Fist.

Plot: The plot of this film is parodying many things, mostly badly translated movies. Honesty, it’s pretty hilarious because the lead character, named The Chosen One (that’s really his only name) was interposed over the actor Jimmy Wu Yang and uses footage from the movie Tiger and Crane Fists.  It’s all a rather obvious parody of kung fu movies, bad translations and even The Lion King.

Casting: Considering the film uses footage from a 1976 movie but is voiced almost solely by Steve Oedekerk (who plays The Chosen One), I really can’t say much on the casting.

Cinematography: It’s notably bad, but it’s obvious that it’s intentionally poorly done.

Music: Again, it’s poorly made but is done so on purpose.

Overall: This is a cult classic type of comedy film for a reason. It’s worth watching just because of how bad it is.

For those who like: Kung Fu, Comedies, and Parodies.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
