Hey all, I’m back with the second entry in a fantasy series about the adventures of Asterios for this week’s Bookish Wednesday. It’s “Rise of the Weakest Summoner Book Two” by J. R. Saileri.

Plot: The plot of this second volume is much better than the first, as the slow start experienced in the first book is pretty much nowhere to be seen and that’s a rather good thing in my eyes. This second entry delves deeper into the mysteries of Asterios’ lack of power, and it’s not exactly what one expects.

Characters: We get to see some new faces in this volume, and Selene is definitely one of my favorite ones we get to meet in this entry. The rest of the characters are just as good, for the most part.

Overall: A very solid second entry.
