Hey all, I’m back with the fifth entry in a fantasy series about the adventures of Asterios for this week’s Bookish Wednesday. It’s “Rise of the Weakest Summoner Book Five” by J. R. Saileri.

Plot: This volume’s plot continues the trend of the past few volumes by being pretty awesome. It’s not perfect, of course, and it doesn’t meet my gold standard of Sanderson’s level of quality, but I’ve definitely read worse. Lots and lots of worse.

Characters: We get to meet quite a few new faces in this entry, with Bryn being the standout of this volume I think. Grea is always fun with her eccentricities. Miria does continue to grate me, but I think that’s just a personal issue where I can’t stand extremely bubbly characters.

Overall: A great fifth entry in this series.
