I’m back with the third entry in Elaine’s journey for this week’s Bookish Wednesday. It’s “Ranger’s Dawn,” Book 03 of the Beneath the Dragoneye Moons series by Selkie Myth.

You can check out my reviews of the first book in the series, “Oathbound Healer,” and the second one, “Adventures in the Argo.”

Plot: We pick back up in the third book with Elaine starting to attend Ranger Academy, where she and the rest of the aspirants are trained. I won’t spoil how that process works, but needless to say that it certainly makes me glad that I’m not only too old to be drafted but that I was never going to be allowed into the real military myself.

Characters: We get to meet lots of new characters in this book, but my favorite new one is easily Night, the sentinel who decides to mentor Elaine while at the academy. The rest of the characters introduced in the third book are great as well. Honestly, I particularly enjoyed learning about every one of the sentinels that Elaine gets to meet at the academy.

Overall: A very solid third entry in this awesome LitRPG series. This is shaping up to be a really great series.
