Hey all, I’m back with another Anime Sunday, with this week being a look ahead to the new season. It’s my Most Anticipated Winter 2026 Anime.

Fate/Strange Fake: I’ve always loved the Nasuverse, so another entry in the series is always going to be enjoyed. I think the last novel of the original light novels is out by now, so I’m hoping this adaptation is going to have the full story from start to finish.

You never know though, not when the original is written by Ryohgo Narita of Durarara fame.

The Holy Grail of Eris: A rather strange series going by the summary I found online, although I’ll admit the series first caught my attention by its title given I was just finishing looking at Fate/Strange Fake on the chart of series for this upcoming season.

Honorable Mentions:

The Villainess Is Adored by the Prince of the Neighbor Kingdom: I’ve found that some of the better series in recent years have been of the Akuyaku Reijou or the Evil Villainess subgenre, and I’m hoping this will prove to be one of the better ones. We’ll see.

Frieren Season 2: Given how much of a hit the first season was, I’m not surprised to see it get another season. But it’s not new, so this just gets an honorable mention.
